Job Details

This role is based within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and is a full-time position working 36 hours per week.

You will earn a competitive salary of £38,950.71 to £42,686.23 and have access to a range of benefits including local and national discounts for supermarkets, restaurants, and retail.

An exciting opportunity to join the Collaboration and Productivity Solutions Competency Centre in BTS and be part of a team committed to driving innovation and digital transformation through the Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot.

As we expand our capabilities, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join the team and help deliver solutions.

As a member of the team, you will bring a wealth of experience in software development, application lifecycle management, business analysis, and stakeholder management & engagement.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, break down silos, and empower staff to leverage low-code development while maintaining governance and control.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Customer engagement to fully understand business requirements
  • Designing and developing robust solutions in Power Platform
  • Take a lead role in the Power Platform Centre of Excellence with a focus on continuous improvements within the governance, administration and management of the Power Platform
  • Product ownership of solutions
  • Promote architecture reviews and sharing reusable components
  • Developing a roadmap for Power Platform adoption and growth
  • Collaboration with colleagues across the Council to empower them to develop their own solutions
  • Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices within the Power Platform ecosystem.

We are currently working in a blended working environment with a mix of home working and office days.

The Person

Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.

Substantial understanding of the ICT Industry, including data protection, software development lifecycles, and change management.

Knowledge and experience of the Power Platform would be beneficial, although not essential if you have a proven track record with other development platforms such as Visual Studio and VS Code utilising c# with .Net.

Experience of working with customers to provide a bridge between technology and business requirements.

Experience of working with customers to capture requirements and benefits.

Requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently as needed, depending on the nature of the tasks.

Demonstrate a commitment to fostering continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest features, and adhering to best practices within the Power Platform.
