Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for a Special Projects Officer to join us on a full, fixed term contract for a period up to 3 years. As a Special Projects Officer you will be joining our in-demand Special Projects Team. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports the delivery of capital projects and informing strategic asset management to the Glasgow Life estate.
The role
As a Special Projects Officer, you’ll be an integral part of the team as lead delivery of capital projects including brief writing, business case development, funding application development and project delivery required as part of the informed client role which Glasgow Life delivers on behalf of Glasgow City Council. Reporting to Special Projects Manager and working alongside an established team.
The candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as a Special Project Officer, you’ll need:
• Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Experience in delivering results and collaborative working within project management, economic development, or a capital development-related context.
• Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
• A relevant qualification with experience in either capital, construction, or economic development projects.

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.
Our office, located at Commonwealth, 32-34 Albion Street, G1 1LH has great links to public transport and nearby parking.
